The hero, cowpuncher Buddy Royle is not only handy around the cattle but a golfing enthusiast to boot. Buddy teaches the upscale sport to Pansy Price and her father, Colonel Price but is interrupted in the middle of teeing off by the nefarious schemes of crooked bank cashier Roger Farnley.

Agnes Cuyler, a cabaret singer in New York who loathes her work, is fired for slapping Grant Haywood, a customer from the West who tries to kiss her. Haywood begs forgiveness and after glorifying the clean Western life, proposes. To escape her circumstances, Agnes accepts, but soon learns that Haywood is a brutal drunkard.

Tonto Daley (Stuart Erwin) is a failed ranch hand who accidentally causes a wagon accident, leading him to abandon his job. He becomes a hog farmer, but is framed for cattle rustling by a former foreman, prompting him to fight back and clear his name with the help of Nina Weston (Verna Hillie).
Broncho Billy, an outlaw, is captured but eludes his captors, and while making his getaway, runs upon the county judge's daughter, who is helplessly trying to stop her runaway horse. He makes a thrilling rescue while going at top speed on horseback, but is captured by the posse and taken back to town.
