The Game (Sinhala: ද ගේම්) is a 2022 Sri Lankan Sinhala action thriller film directed by Suranga de Alwis and produced by Nishantha Weerasinghe for Sangeetha Films, and distributed by A4Movie.[1] The film stars Ranjan Ramanayake, Sriyantha Mendis and Janith Wickramage in lead roles,[2] whereas Buddhika Jayaratne, Dhananjaya Siriwardena and Wasantha Kumaravila made supportive roles.The film revolves around an extremist who started to assassinate a powerful aristocrat, where the theme loosely based on April 21 Easter Sunday Bombings occurred in Sri Lanka.

An embarrassing problem emerges in a quiet household somewhere in a province of Sri Lanka. The patriarch of a lovely family suddenly dies in front of the TV one fateful night. He experienced something soulfully romantic before his last breath and the most sensitive part of his deceased body still functions without pulse or blood pressure. His two grown sons and a mourning mother are eager to bend down the standing organ to avoid shameful reactions at the funeral.

(Eka Dawasaka Api / එක දවසක අපි) The day Parami appeared on Vimukthi’s eyes he found out that she is the one who he needed to his life. Later, a day with a tension mood these two soul mates get into a train with tears on their faces to ride their last train journey together. But Vimukthi’s family is strongly against to approve Parami as their daughter in law. The reason for disapproving Parami is her cast and status.

The film starts with a release of peoples' vote of government election, where Rajamanthri (Vijaya) lost his seat and crying with his allies. However, his secretary Sumanasiri (Rodney) revealed that the winning member has been hospitalized after hearing the shocking news of that he won the election of the seat. Rajamanthri and crew went to the hospital and finally the winning member died and Rajamanthri won the seat. After winning the seat, he started to celebrate the win, but his fellow ministers (Priyantha and Jayasiri) started to make actions against him. However, with many funny incidents, Rajamanthri pass all the battles with the help of his allies. Meanwhile, Liyana Mahaththaya (Lal), clark (Mihira) and Kalu mudalali (Giriraj) proposed an Awurudu Ulela to impress Chief minister Narendrasinghe (Sathischandra).

Massive development projects are threatening the traditional livelihoods of remote, agricultural villages of Sri Lanka. Rathi and Anil are lovers living in such testing times. Amidst economic hardships they are forced to choose other means to make their ends meet. A simple scam they attempt gives them an unforeseen satisfaction. Where will this new path lead them?
