Overview
After sending their son to rehab from drug abuse, they find out that he has run away from the rehab center and that he has a dept to a local drug boss, which may be the reason he is on the run. His parents start blaming each other for their son's mistakes, and the father decides to leave their family home. In the next few days they both are trying to find their son, and they both face the brutal reality of life in Serbia on their own way.

Chronicles the rise and fall of legendary blues singer Billie Holiday, beginning with her traumatic youth. The story depicts her early attempts at a singing career and her eventual rise to stardom, as well as her difficult relationship with Louis McKay, her boyfriend and manager. Ghada is a police officer. Her brother falls prey to bad friends and dies after taking a large dose of heroin. Ghada discovers the complex of one of her friends and arrests him red-handed, with heroin in his possession. Sherry's family, especially her sister-in-law, doubt Sherry's ability to be a good mother, and Sherry finds her resolve to stay clean slowly weakening.

Antoine, a handsome boy in his 20s, falls for a straight best friend who does not reciprocate, and being a junkie exits the film quite early. Enter a girl, who seems to make him happy again, after he has tried living as a rent boy with men, having some familial, financial difficulties. But the girl is a junkie too.

Gai Nhay ("Bar Girls") is the story of how the other half lives, with a twist. Southeast Asia being known for the multitude of bar girls ready to be "borrowed" for a (usually quite cheap) price, the life these girls live--and the motivations and tribulations that lead them to it--are usually hidden to their oblivious clientéle.
