Overview
Ghada is a police officer. Her brother falls prey to bad friends and dies after taking a large dose of heroin. Ghada discovers the complex of one of her friends and arrests him red-handed, with heroin in his possession. It turns out that he is part of a drug gang led by smuggler Hazem, and his wife Buthaina and her brother Marouf are partners with him. Buthaina and Marouf kidnap Ghada's mother to pressure her to change her testimony.

On their cross-country drive, a married couple, Jeff and Amy Taylor, experience car trouble after their SUV breaks down. Stranded in the New Mexico desert, the two catch a break when a passing truck driver offers Amy a ride to a nearby café to call for help. Meanwhile, Jeff is able to fix the car and make his way to the café, but Amy isn't there. He tracks down the trucker ― who tells the police he's never seen Jeff or his wife before. Jeff then begins a desperate, frenzied search for Amy.

Chronicles the rise and fall of legendary blues singer Billie Holiday, beginning with her traumatic youth. The story depicts her early attempts at a singing career and her eventual rise to stardom, as well as her difficult relationship with Louis McKay, her boyfriend and manager. Casting a shadow over even Holiday's brightest moments is the vocalist's severe drug addiction, which threatens to end both her career and her life.

After sending their son to rehab from drug abuse, they find out that he has run away from the rehab center and that he has a dept to a local drug boss, which may be the reason he is on the run. His parents start blaming each other for their son's mistakes, and the father decides to leave their family home. In the next few days they both are trying to find their son, and they both face the brutal reality of life in Serbia on their own way.

Homer is an orphan who was never adopted, becoming the favorite of orphanage director Dr. Larch. Dr. Larch imparts his full medical knowledge on Homer, who becomes a skilled, albeit unlicensed, physician. But Homer yearns for a self-chosen life outside the orphanage. What will Homer learn about life and love in the cider house? What of the destiny that Dr. Larch has planned for him?
