The impressionistic story of a Texas family in the 1950s. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father. Jack finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith.

Satyaprakash is an honest security officer who works at the docks in a small town in India, and lives with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vishambernath; wife, Janki, a blind daughter, Munni; and an unmarried sister, Juhi. He hopes to make enough money to get Munni's vision back and ensure that Juhi gets married and the rest of the family are looked after well. Before that could happen, he is killed. When the Police come to his house looking for his killer, Janki, unknowingly shields the killer, but when she finds out the truth, she tells them about his location, but the killer flees.

A singer and dancer par excellence, Lata lives a wealthy lifestyle with her dad, Choudhry Goverdhanlal Patwardhanlal and mom. Her parents would like her to get married to wealthy Shekhar, who she initially approves of. Shortly thereafter she meets with Vasant Kumar and both fall in love with each other. When Shekhar finds out that Lata does not want to marry him, he is enraged and starts to investigate Vasant's background. He finds out that Vasant's real name is Ashok, who is a writer for a magazine 'Bahar, has a relationship with a woman, and also has a son.

Rakesh (Mithun Chakraborty), a small town boy, has been torn away from his family due to several crisis. His family consisted of his father(Aloknath), mother(Tanuja) and sister(Dipa Sahi). Terror strikes in the family after Aloknath has been sent to jail in fraudulent cases. He himself is on the run due to police threats. In due course of his time, Rakesh meets Lakshmi(Mandakini) and love blossoms. Even though Rakesh tries being truthful, He enters a different world. Will Rakesh unite with his long lost family and lead a happy life with the love of his life?

Four dedicated housewives - Shivangi, Mansi, Neha, and Sakhina, whose lives revolve only around their husband and family, decide to escape the suffocating routine life by traveling to Goa for a few days to live life on their terms. They have no idea that their vacation will lead to a series of life-changing events.
