A gang of city children is secretly practicing to enter a musical competition. All of them plunder their parents' supplies in order to build their own stage and amplifiers. Baffled by these unexplained thefts, the parents decide to hold a meeting as their suspicions turn to a group of camper folks living across from their flat. The tables are turned when the residents take a camping holiday of their own and end up being mistrusted by the locals as much as they themselves did their own neighbors. 1944. A band of runaways and orphans of the war scour the countryside in search of food and shelter. They invade and then taken in by a musician and former concert pianist who’s hiding out in a ruined castle. After the initial altercation between them the gang accepts his guidance and he wins their respect by protecting them from the elements.

In the summer of '76, after pinball and complaining lose their thrill, Val and Tim steal their friend Randal's car. The boys pick up some girls, Kari and Vicki, and go for a ride up in the hills. They intend to return the stolen car before Randal finishes baseball practice, but their adolescent hijinks spiral out of control. The short film seems to be designed to make teenagers see that joyriding isn't just a bit of fun.
