Overview
Brothers Ralph and Gaston are performing in a circus tightrope act, in a fight over a woman. Ralph escalates the tension even further when he tries to rescue a young tightrope walker from the cruelty of her stepfather, the circus ringmaster.

It includes stealing, cheating and almost anything that could yield cash. However, deep within her is a sadness unseen by many.

Carola has been running the family-owned circus alone since her husband’s death, but she suddenly finds herself at odds with her three adult sons who are also performance artists and want to have a say in how the business is run. The family discord leads Carola to turn her back on the circus, leaving the three inexperienced sons in charge. This turn of events forces the family to learn to work together or face bankruptcy.

Members of a circus troupe "adopt" Lili Daurier when she finds herself stranded in a strange town. The magician who first comes to her rescue already has romantic entanglements and thinks of her as a little girl. Who can she turn to but the puppets, singing to them her troubles, forgetting that there are puppeteers? A crowd gathers around Lili as she sings. The circus has a new act. She now has a job. Will she get her heart's desire?
