Based on the short story by Anton Chekhov, Kama Ginkas’ astounding reimagining highlights and builds off of the Chekhovian tension between the beauty of life and the tragedy of how it is lived. The story tells the the tale of philosophy student Andrey Vasil'ich Kovrin. On the verge of a nervous breakdown, Kovrin decides to visit his childhood friend Tanya Pesotsky at the estate of her father. As he and Tanya develop a relationship and eventually marry, a black monk of legend begins appearing to Kovrin in visions. Though these hallucinations at first imbue the young man with joy and energy, they eventually lead to his ruin.

Charming and kind, Elwood P. Dowd has only one character flaw: an unwavering friendship with a six-foot-tall, invisible rabbit named Harvey. In order to save the family’s reputation, Elwood’s sister, Veta, takes him to the local sanitarium. But when Dr. William Chumley mistakenly commits anxiety-ridden Veta instead of her brother, it sets off a hilarious whirlwind of confusion and chaos as everyone tries to catch a man and his invisible rabbit.

Embark on this surprising true story, that of Charles Gentès, a post-war singer nicknamed THE GOLDEN VOICE: original songs from the era, covers of the great French songs (Aznavour, Brel, Piaf, Trenet, Brassens, Montand, as well as Dario Moreno and Dalida), passionate love affairs, and experience this crazy and tender family saga that will unfold before your eyes and take you from Egypt to Lebanon via the cabarets of Montmartre. Family secrets, reconciliation with the past, laugh and cry with this musical show that you will love! Recorded at the Théâtre Actuel La Bruyère, in Paris's 9th arrondissement.

Alex Jaffray, music columnist for Télématin, shares his passion for music, which allowed him, as a child, to communicate with notes rather than words. He is a sampler packed with music and jokes that allow him to travel from prehistory to Gilbert Montagné, from Daft Punk to Booba, via the Eagles, Ennio Morricone, and Maître Gims. Recorded on June 26, 2025, at the Théâtre des Sources in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, in the Hauts-de-France region.
