11-year-old Tim is way ahead of the other boys his age: nothing excites him more than explorers, myths, dinosaurs and legends - and planning his mother's life! One day, however, Tim's life is about to change completely: He accidentally discovers a photo of an explorer living in Scotland on the internet and he looks like the spitting image of his dead father! The adventurous boy secretly sets off on a journey to Iverness, the famous Scottish village on the banks of the legendary Loch Ness. And what awaits him there exceeds Tintin's wildest expectations.

Eleven year old Tim plays fate and takes a flight to Scotland with his father Eric. They were happy there two years ago, shortly before his mother Anna died in a car accident. In Scotland, Tim combs through the Hartspring Castle and whose crypt. He finds a chart with Celtic characters, that refers to the true existence of the legendary Loch Ness monster.

Scottish orphan David Balfour is betrayed by his wicked uncle Ebeneezer, who arranges for David to be kidnapped and sold into slavery so that he cannot claim his inheritance. The boy is rescued and befriended by Alan Breck, a Scottish rebel fighting on behalf of his country's independence from the British.

A zombie apocalypse threatens the sleepy town of Little Haven—at Christmas—forcing Anna and her friends to fight, slash, and sing their way to survival. In a desperate race to reach their loved ones, they soon learn that no one is safe in this new world, and with civilization falling apart around them, the only people they can truly rely on are each other.
