Overview
Amhi Satpute is a 2008 Marathi remake of the Hindi action comedy film Satte Pe Satta. It was made by Sachin Pilgaonkar who also appears in it, alongside other primary cast including Ashok Saraf, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Swapnil Joshi, Atul Parchure and Nirmiti Sawant.

Kaj is a stubborn man with a great deal of pride. The former chef lives in a council flat. He has wasted his life and is now on a council job training scheme for the long-term unemployed, where he refuses to let the foreman of the activation project boss him about. When Kaj's daughter, with whom he has not been in touch for nineteen years, moves into the same council estate on the run from her violent husband, a change comes over Kaj. His initial instinct is to avoid her, but by chance he ends up helping to look after Jonas, her six-year-old son. For the first time for years Kaj need not survive on his own devices. Now he has responsibilities and a family of his own.

Home cook Rachel, a sort of Ma Dalton, has raised her sons Sam and Jeremiah, and her grandson, Nathan, in the cult of conning. From bad plans to petty theft, this friendly family of broken arms is always after the big score. Luck or fate, during a burglary, they steal a painting by Tamara de Lempicka without knowing its value. Céleste, a shrewd and charming detective, sets out in pursuit.

Freemont Gordon isn't passionate about his successful job as an architect in Los Angeles. After turning 30, he finds his job isn't enough, so he quits and takes a road trip—and along the way meets some amazing and generous people. Freemont shows his thanks for their hospitality by building secret tree houses for the families in the hope of giving their kids fun places to play. Ultimately, he finds that doing what he loves—is what matters most.
