Ilir Luma, a martial arts master specialized in the Pelasgian art of "Mundije", escaped the communist regime, when he was only 14 years old. He'd witnessed the hanging of a poet in the city of Kukes, Albania. In Germany, at a Taekwondo school, he meets Ana, who became his student and his girlfriend. Ilir promised to be there for her, whenever she needs him. Thirty years later, Ana is kidnapped and sent to Mexico. Ilir risks his life to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend, and battles the most dangerous fighters in the world.

Benjamin tells his ex-girlfriend, Angie, that he joined a cell of left-wing terrorists to get revenge on her former boss, who owns a right-wing radio station. His story blends conceptual artists, amateur theatre troupes, hallucinogenic vinyl record and other magical powers. All that nonsense leave Angie wondering if he made that up only to win her back.

Fabrizio De Angelis leaves it all on the sweat-stained mat at the strip-mall karate studio that hosted the bone-crushing, senses-shattering, kickpocalypse between arch rivals Kevin and Jeff! The final battle would have been pretty lame (well, lamer than it was) if it hadn't been built toward with an unceasing increase in tension as Kevin and Jeff clashed in competitions where the stakes only got higher and higher and even freaking higher! Why, by the time that Kevin had bested Jeff in the race through the Tunnel of Death (neither of them died making the tunnel's name an unfortunate misnomer), I was thinking that surely nothing could top that! Well, nothing but a training montage!
