Battleground (2014) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It took place on July 20, 2014 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. It was the second event under the Battleground chronology, with the event having originated in 2013. Nine matches (including, for the first time ever, two pre-shows) took place at the event.

Backlash (2017) is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and WWE Network event, produced by WWE for the SmackDown brand. It will take place on May 21, 2017, at the Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. It will be the thirteenth event in the Backlash chronology, and the second Backlash to be held in the Allstate Arena, after Backlash 2001.

The damage to his brain stem results in locked-in syndrome, with which he is almost completely paralyzed and only able to communicate by blinking an eye. Bauby painstakingly dictates his memoir via the only means of expression left to him.
