Overview
Mike, a cop who is becoming increasingly frustrated with his tiresome job with little benefits, whilst the criminals live a life of luxury. He is offered a undercover job to infiltrate a Triad gang led by Boss Tin. Mike slowly becomes engrossed in this world and in Tin's wife.

Wendy (Chingmy Yau) arrives in Hong Kong to stay with her aunt Big Beer (Deannie Ip), who shares a space with her landlord Charles (Lawrence Cheng). There’s just one problem: Wendy can set things on fire with her mind. Her pyrokinetic powers are accompanied with some bad luck, so the victim usually gets a double whammy of charred flesh and misfortune.

After incurring debts from his failed business venture in China, Chung Wah returns to Hong Kong after a decade's hiatus. The demoralised Chung Wah faces problems finding a job and tries hard to get used to things at home, including his estranged relationship with his stepfather, who runs a Cantonese opera troupe, and half-sister, who is hostile towards Chung Wah as she always has the impression that the death of their mother was caused by the excessive fights between Chung Wah and his stepfather.

Sam and Barbara have been together for eight years, but the key to their relationship is breaking up. Each time Barbara threatens to leave, Sam would give in and beg her to come back, giving her an increasing upper hand. After their 99th breakup, the couple finally decides to stick through with their relationship and not break up so easily. They plan a future together by running their own café. Ironically, the success of the café starts driving Sam and Barbara apart, and the 100th breakup between Sam and Barbara seems to be just around the corner.
