Overview
Nineteen popular children's nursery rhymes, signed, sung and spoken by Dave Benson Phillips of BBC Playdays fame. Funded by a grand from the BBC Children in Need Appeal 1990/91 and originally release on VHS in 1992. The Makaton signs in this video are derived from British Sign Language (BSL) with some finger spelling.

Two mischievous siblings, Klotylda and Barnabáš, fail their final exams at the wizardly lyceum. In their father Zachariáš’s absence, they break the strict rule and open the forbidden thirteenth chamber, accidentally freeing the evil sorcerer Vzdoroděj. He enchants all the adults and sets off to find a powerful gemstone that will destroy their father and conquer the realm. Hiding with their stern Aunt Berta, the children must manage the household while improving their magical skills and learning to cooperate. Beyond Silence is about a family and a young girl’s coming of age story. This German film looks into the lives of the deaf and at a story about the love for music. A girl who has always had to translate speech into sign language for her deaf parents yet when her love for playing music grows strong she must decide to continue doing something she cannot share with her parents.

In 1965, passionate musician Glenn Holland takes a day job as a high school music teacher, convinced it's just a small obstacle on the road to his true calling: writing a historic opus. As the decades roll by with the composition unwritten but generations of students inspired through his teaching, Holland must redefine his life's purpose.

Metal drummer Ruben begins to lose his hearing. When a doctor tells him his condition will worsen, he thinks his career and life is over. The whole Bélier family is deaf, except for sixteen year old Paula who is the important translator in her parents' day to day life especially when it comes to matters concerning the family farm. When her music teacher discovers she has a fantastic singing voice and she gets an opportunity to enter a big Radio France contest the whole family's future is set up for big changes.

A young girl becomes lost in a department store during the Christmas shopping rush. The frightened child is comforted by a department store Santa Claus who tells her a tale of storybook characters brought to life - of Tommy Tucker's love for the lovely Jane Piper and the cold-hearted villainy of evil Silas Barnaby. Through the girl's dreams, the viewer is transported to Toyland. Based on the classic Broadway operetta by Victor Herbert and Glen MacDonough, this was its second live television special production, with some new cast members and some returning.
