Overview
The film is about Gamze and Haldun's love that continues despite all obstacles. Gamze and her twin sister Nazan are students at the conservatory. They both fall in love with Haldun, whom they meet during this period. Although Haldun is initially interested in Gamze, he later marries Nazan. Gamze leaves Istanbul to forget her love. Nazan, tired of Haldun, is having a secret affair with Memduh. Nazan dies in a traffic accident while trying to escape to Europe with Memduh. On the same day, Haldun mistakes Gamze for Nazan when he sees her. Gamze tries to explain the truth, but Haldun refuses to listen to her. Years later, they have a baby named Harun. Meanwhile, Memduh has returned from Europe and, mistaking Gamze for Nazan, has set out to find her. Gamze, trying to save her family, agrees to meet with Memduh to explain everything. When Haldun enters the room during the meeting, he misunderstands everything.

Deke Rivers is a delivery man who is discovered by publicist Glenda Markle and country-western musician Tex Warner who want to promote the talented newcomer to fame and fortune, giving him every break he deserves. Romantic complications arise as Susan, another singer in the group, offers him devoted admiration as Glenda leads him on with promises of a golden future.

Danny Fisher, young delinquent, flunks out of high school. He quits his job as a busboy in a nightclub, and one night he gets the chance to perform. Success is imminent and the local crime boss Maxie Fields wants to hire him to perform at his night club The Blue Shade. Danny refuses, but Fields won't take no for an answer.

A condemned murderer, in the process of being executed, relives the events that led to his being sentenced to die in the electric chair. Told in flashback, we witness a sleazy dancehall girl (Vivienne Osborne) dupe a high rise riveter (Edward G. Robinson) into marriage so she can live off of him. But when he loses his job and his marbles, she ends up supporting him with money from her side man--and misses no opportunity to rub it in his face that she's now supporting him in his emasculated state. As the animosity grows and things get more and more unbearable, he is eventually driven to desperate measures.
