Overview
Young Eva makes her decision to stay in Madrid for the month of August an act of faith. She needs to feel things differently and think of summer as a time of opportunity. On days of festivities and verbenas, while events and encounters take place, Eva will discover that she still has time, that an opportunity can still be given.

Eduvigis is an Eldery Lady who lives in Madrid, and visits bad luck on everyone that she looks at through glasses that her late husband gave her, which were made from crystals from an Egyptian Tomb. To arrange the sale of an inherited house, she must travel to the Canary Islands, and so puts an advert in a newspaper asking for a maid to accompany her, and a chauffeur to drive her car. Mercedes, a girl who works in a Museum in Madrid, and Tony, a student whose college has just started Summer vacation, answer the advert. Neither of them gets along with the other at all, but both are hired to make the trip with Eduvigis. Arriving in Tenerife, Mercedes and Tony discover that the house is worth much more than it appears, and much more than what is being offered.

Three young men, restless and consumed by unfulfilled desires, drift through Madrid forming a volatile and toxic friendship. Their resentment toward women grows into a shared language of anger, pushing them into a spiral of reckless acts, broken relationships, and self-destruction. As their lives begin to unravel, each of them is forced to confront the darkness they’ve nurtured — and to face the uncomfortable truth about who they are and what they fear becoming.

After living in London for several years, Ramona and her boyfriend Nico, return to Madrid where she hopes to re-start her acting career. The evening before her first audition she meets Bruno, an older man. The following day, at the audition, she discovers that Bruno is the director of the film.
