Overview
The year is 1580, and the unholy armies of Lord Nobunaga Oda spread across Japan, murdering all who oppose them. Narrowly escaping the slaughter of her clan, a young ninja steals into the shadows. She is the last of her kind, and the dagger she wields is one of three mystical blades that can end Lord Oda's rule. On her quest to overthrow the tyrant, she is joined by two other renegade ninja, possessors of the sacred sword and spear. Together, these shadow warriors must unite their weapons and skills to fulfill the Prophesy of the Enchanted Swords... or die trying.

But, the chief retainer of the clan sees the foolishness of this plan and hires Mumyo, along with a group of Female Ninja, to stop the assassins and destroy the Ako Ronin from the inside.

The evil criminal leader Kendrick has kidnapped an elderly biochemist who holds the secret to creating a biological superweapon. The only person who can possibly stop Kendrick and his gang is L. A. cop Sam Kettle and martial arts master Jun Kim (uncle of a little girl also kidnapped by Kendrick). Together, they go to war against an army of ninjas to rescue the hostages and bring their kidnappers to justice.

Even though Gennosuke and Oboro are from rival ninja villages, they are secretly in love. At an annual conference with the Lord, it is dictated that a competition--a fight to the death--will take place between the five best shinobi from each village. Gennosuke and Oboro's love is made even more impossible when they each got picked as the leader of the five to represent their respective villages.

Steve is a Ninja. He's been called in by the police to help them in their investigations. He's to work with Kevin, a police lieutentant. They are investigating the break-in at the Federal Research Institute, where despite heavy security, 7 Ninja warriors manage to steal a vital document. Well pleased with their night's work, they return to their master, Kurodo, who finds they only have a half of the information they need. The police capatain wants results. Kevin suspects that a Japanese Garden he visited once with Steve could be the headquarters of Kurodo and his Ninja's and goes in search of proof. He's caught spying and is tortured and killed. After the disappearance of Kevin, Steve opens his Ninja box. He breaks the seal of his Katana and starts the Mantra. He attacks the Japanese Garden, eliminates the Ninja warriors and after recovering the documents and blowing up the laboratory, finally meets Kurodo, there can only be one victor...

The compilation includes the first episodes from creators Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine and 10 "Special Delivery" sketches, as well as some of the media coverage about this unusual character.

Director Charlie Ahearn (who helmed the landmark hip-hop film Wild Style) used the housing projects next to his New York Lower East Side apartment as his central location in this 1979 classic, shot on a vintage Super 8 camera.
