Rick and Reni came to California in search of a new lease on life. Unfortunately, all they found was each other... In a last ditch effort to save their struggling relationship, the duo twist their couples' counseling therapy into a plot that would see them turning back into their Texas low-life roots as petty criminals. As has been the case throughout the history of Rick and Reni's calamity plagued relationship, their haphazard scheme to hold up a dive bar goes horribly wrong. When a diverse cast of bar patrons gets caught up in their failed plot, Rick and Reni begin to not only wonder if they'll survive the day, but if they can survive one another.

Mind Games began with a question: what happens when someone trained to understand others loses all understanding of herself? The slow-burning fuse and emotional center of Mind Games is our protagonist, therapist Jules Abrams. Jules finds herself enmeshed in the lives of two new clients, Ava and Zander, whose relationship appears more lively, erratic, and vibrant than her own. Although their sessions start off professionally, she begins to subtly and dangerously insert herself.
Follows Tess Klein, whose life was supposed to follow the plan: love by 25, marriage by 30, baby by 34. But after a spectacularly failed marriage proposal and one wild rebound weekend where her best friend Kelsey tells her “the only way to get over someone is to get under someone else,” Tess finds herself pregnant — and clueless about who the father is. As she sets out to solve the mystery, she discovers that sometimes the right family finds you.

She tries to resist, but Ronny, who blames his brother for the loss of his hand, has no scruples about aggressively pursuing her while Johnny is out of the country. As Loretta falls for Ronny, she learns that she's not the only one in her family with a secret romance.
