Overview
Schoolteacher Elizabeth Scott and businessman/philanthropist Donovan Darcy are blissfully in love and newly engaged. As the weeks fly by and the arrangements for their small autumn wedding grow more elaborate and Donovan, wrapped up in his work, is increasingly unavailable. Reminded yet again of their tremendous differences in background and temperament, Elizabeth can’t help but ask herself: should she marry Mr. Darcy?

Adapted from István Csurka's play of the same name. Four men often get together in the evenings to play poker, big money is lost, often without any collateral. During heated arguments, it becomes clear during the break between playing cards that these people once had the opportunity to live differently. They were talented, but now they are neither on the right nor the left, and in their own words, they live in nihilism.
It's 6 months, 1 week, and 4 days since the earth was destroyed by an asteroid. 200 humans survive on board a huge 'Space Ark'. Their mission? To find a new planet where the human race can be re-established. The ship is populated by the finest minds the earth had to offer, plus an inept crew, an android-bear pilot and a member of the public who won his place by lottery. In the pilot episode the crew encounter a seemingly friendly alien race, whose space craft has broken down. What could possibly go wrong?
