Arrested for a murder he didn't commit, American adventurer Bart Lanigan is about to be deported from Finland on a freighter. In the Helsinki harbor, he himself becomes a target for a hit man but manages to escape back to land. Lanigan contacts Arvo Mäki, a womanizing local con man recommended to him as a man he could trust. Lanigan is in Finland to catch an American millionaire businessman, Leonard Weston alias Lawrence Walker, who has fled the USA with the company's monies and begun investing them in Finland. Looking for the mysterious L.W. character while trying to get rid of various hit men, Lanigan and Mäki travel around picturesque southern Finland, joined by a pretty night club singer Marja Salo who won't leave Lanigan alone and insists on marrying him.

Former Macao police captain Liang Jinghui has left the force due to concerns over his mental health. He now works security at a hotel, but spends his spare time trying to put together evidence to solve a three year-old case that left one of his colleagues dead and a criminal mastermind free. When he stumbles across a cyber finance company trying to create a new financial platform in Macao, he smells a rat. He resigns from his security job and gets hired by the heads of the “Sim coin” company – Simon and his alluring partner Guo Wanjun. The keen-nosed Hui sniffs out a conspiracy that could also lead him to close the case that haunts him.

Using almost no dialogue, the film follows a number of residents (both human and animal) of a small rural community in Hungary – an old man with hiccups, a shepherdess and her sheep, an old woman who may or may not be up to no good, some folk-singers at a wedding, etc. While most of the film is a series of vignettes, there is a sinister and often barely perceptible subplot involving murder.

A botched burglary leads to the arrest of the Jönsson gang’s leader, Sickan. After serving ten months in prison, he is released and unexpectedly recruited by the enigmatic banker Wall-Enberg Jr. to steal the legendary Bedford Diamonds in Switzerland. Though Sickan successfully carries out the heist, he is betrayed and nearly captured. Returning to Sweden and reuniting with his old accomplices, he sets out to take calculated revenge on the man who double-crossed him.

Inspector Amar Kaushal attempts to incarcerate wrong-doers in his society only lead to frustration when they are let off by the incompetence of the law and his superiors and seniors. Eventually Amar stands accused of killing several criminals and innocents which prompts him to take law into his own hands.

First turned on during a home invasion, the gang's video camera never lets up as they take on the city and become our anti-heros by targeting all those we'd love to see get punished - corrupt politicians, filthy drug dealers, arrogant sports stars... and parking inspectors!
