Overview
Courtenay John Dayre is drugged by a jealous spy on the night before his loveless marriage to Anthea. His twin, John Courtenay Dayre, reluctantly agrees to impersonate his brother at the wedding, only to discover a genuine affection for his accidental wife. Meanwhile, Courtenay begins to understand the price of things when he realises that his affair has allowed a valuable military secret to be stolen.

The viewer gets acquainted with the grown-up hero, behind whom there are already several journeys into the depths of the human mind, and one of them, the most pleasant for Max, is connected with the beautiful artist Vera. With her help, Max comprehends the true beauty of nature and the harmonious integrity of the world, and also shares his own unique knowledge with the girl. Together, the heroes have to go through a fascinating path, the routes of which lie far beyond the usual perception of reality.
