Charming bunnies Spot and Splodge are best friends. In their world, everything is spotted and speckled. One of them is covered with spots and the other is covered with dots, but there are dots and spots everywhere! In this movie we watch Spot and Splodge bake delicious things, they visit a circus and try to stand on their ears, they get chickenpox, are dressing up as princesses in a fairytale and are having a disco party.

After World War II, Antonia and her daughter, Danielle, go back to their Dutch hometown, where Antonia's late mother has bestowed a small farm upon her. There, Antonia settles down and joins a tightly-knit but unusual community. Those around her include quirky friend Crooked Finger, would-be suitor Bas and, eventually for Antonia, a granddaughter and great-granddaughter who help create a strong family of empowered women.

Police inspector Sciarra, struggling with an identity crisis, and Domenica, an orphan who would like to know about her mother, spend one day together along the streets of Naples. It's Sciarra's last day of work and he has to take Domenica to the morgue, to identify a man who might have raped her. To Domenica, Sciarra is a father she never had, to him she is the daughter he couldn't have.
