Based on a true story, this film tells of an expedition into the Amazon jungle to find an archaeologist who had vanished three years previously. They run into a tribe of warlike headhunters, who are determined to add the expedition members' heads to their collection (in the real story, the archaeologist was found to have been murdered by a tribe of Brazilian headhunters).

Twelve people are aboard Coast Airline's flagship the Silver Queen enroute to South America when the airplane encounters a storm and is blown off course. Crashing into jungles known to be inhabited by head hunters, pilots Bill and Joe race against time to fix the engines and attempt a take off. The situation brings out the best and worst in the stranded dozen as they create a makeshift runway and prepare to escape before the natives attack. But damage to the plane and low fuel reserves means that only 5 people can be carried to safety.

It is thanks to this film that the Marquis gained notoriety with a wider audience. The film is the result of film footage shot between May 1926 and June 1930 in several South American countries. Departing from Guayaquil, he first went to the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific. Upon returning to the capital of Ecuador, chance brought him to the Ocaina Indians, the Boro, the Napo, the Jivaro and the Piro. He explored the Incan mines of Machu Picchu, discovered only a few years prior, and ended his journey on the famed Guano islands. The musical score, inspired by traditional Indian music, was created by Maurice Jaubert.

Dane Jensen is a driven, Chicago-based headhunter, working at a cut-throat job placement firm. When his boss pits Dane against Lynn Vogel, Dane's equally driven but polar-opposite rival at the firm, in a battle for control over the company. When his young son is then given a harrowing diagnosis, Dane is suddenly pulled between achieving his professional dream and spending time with the family that needs him now more than ever.
Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Rumors spread among the young people that there had been a rape. Yukiya receives instructions from his seniors and sets out to catch the rapist. However, this leads to a clash among the town's delinquents, which eventually creates an uncontrollable commotion.

Zhang Jiuying arrives in Sihai Town with his apprentices, Zhao Cai and Jin Bao, to attend a wedding at the Li family estate. However, strange events unfold that night: the male servants die under mysterious circumstances, and the maids vanish without a trace. As rumors of a haunting spread, Zhang Jiuying teams up with a local innkeeper and the police chief to investigate, leading them into a deeper and more dangerous mystery.
