Sassi, a self-proclaimed painter in his 60s, tries to make a mark in the society but fails with every attempt. He is soon diagnosed with a terminal illness, following which he moves back to his hometown to spend his last few days. His days turn rather boring and uninteresting until he learns of a newly designed coffin, having all sorts of advanced features in it, and finally, knows how to spend his last days.

Jonah, an arrogant, semi-famous artist living in Chicago has it all figured out while living his best life until one day it's cut short as he j-walks across the street. Erin troubled by the fact that she has struck down the golden child of the Windy City and tormented by the public. Now finds herself haunted by Jonahs ghost. Both eager to move on with their lives. The pair is stuck together in a heated relationship as Erin tries to guide Jonah to the other side helping him with his un-finished business.

Edward, a thirty-something filmmaker and former critic, tries to make his first feature by turning his failed relationship into an autofiction script. As he meets with actors, producers, and friends, the line between memory and invention begins to blur, and the ghost of his ex-girlfriend Aurora quietly returns to haunt him.

Stories from the lives of the tenants of the Moscow's communal apartment: Kostik, who is a college student, lives with his aunt while studying; Arkady Velyurov who is a performing artist; Khobotovs, who are a divorced couple; and Sava, who is Margarita Khobotov's new fiancé. All these people live in one apartment and their lives constantly touch each other's.

Shy artist Isla is shocked when her painting is accidentally sold to charismatic salesman Mark, whose boss wants to commission Isla for a sculpture. Mark, hoping to impress his boss, talks Isla up and gets her to do the job, but there’s one problem…Isla’s never sculpted before. With Mark’s encouragement, Isla’s confidence blossoms and so does their love.
