Overview
Kathir, a carefree young man, becomes a police informer like his neighbour Prabhakar, and begins to get too close with inspector Soundarapandian, despite the warnings of the latter. It is only when he tries to ride on an ego clash between Soundarapandian and Mathiarasu, a rival inspector, that he realizes he's become a pawn in a dangerous game.

After completing jail time for beating up a man who tried to seduce his mentally-handicapped teenage daughter, the Butcher wants to start life anew. He institutionalizes his daughter and moves to the Lille suburbs with his mistress, who promises him a new butcher shop. Learning that she lied, the Butcher returns to Paris to find his daughter.

The story follows detective Heizo, played by Koshiro Matsumoto, who investigates Tanbei Chigashira, a notorious thief. Kumehachi, a former member of Tanbei's gang, claims that their former leader is an impostor. The real Tanbei Chigashira followed three strict rules: do not kill, do not rape women, and do not steal from the poor.

George Vadakkan is the quintessential prodigal son of a priest, who wished he followed the father’s path. His friends and George generally hang out at Mathayi Parambu, a public playground cum hangout space of the area. How the park plays a part in setting his life straight is the core of the pooram.
