The grunge girl band "No Exits" is just about to get a record deal. At this time Jimmy is appearing again, the former boy-friend of the band guitarist Shelly. She had left him because his friend had raped her. But he doesn't know that - up to now. Shelly has fallen in love with the band singer Suzy in the meantime. But she still loves Jimmy, too. So she moves to him again, what Suzy doesn't like that all. Especially because she is becoming a feminist.

In the 1950s, Louise left her husband when their children were still little. She was never heard from again. Her daughter Martine stayed in the small seaside town, where she became a doctor. By chance, she finds a notebook that belonged to her grandmother, a diary that may at last explain her departure. Carol and Neil are are successful in terms of grades, but not very popular at their highschool. When Carol comes to know that two foreign exchange students from France and Italy were redirected to another school, she figures she and Neil could take their places and be in the middle of public interest for one semester.

The everyday life of a Monkey is interrupted by a randomly seen advertisement on TV, in which someone named Mister Success invites the audience to become successful and cool by trying to win a talisman toy from the UFO catcher. On the way to success, the Monkey will have to face the guy from the advertisement, and only a dance battle will show which of the two of them is truly successful
