A bored young man meets with his former girlfriend, now a cabaret dancer and single mother, and soon finds himself falling back in love with her.

A historical drama set in 1950s Britain. Dora Szumski, 30, is an Englishwoman married to a Polish immigrant, Eryk, a former Polish Army officer, who is left with no choice by the post-war balance of power, condemned to die in his homeland or emigrate. After an unsuccessful suicide attempt, Eryk stays in Mabledon Park, a psychiatric hospital designed for former Polish soldiers suffering from war trauma. Erik's illness resulting from a past that has been haunted and concealed from his wife not only becomes a barrier to the couple's future, but also a threat to Erik's life. Dora decides to find out what the secret of her husband's illness is.

Kadar suspects Amar and vows to take the revenge. Amar and Aliya who are intensely in love, manage to run away from the scene.

Hassan, a worker in a lathe workshop, is dissatisfied with his livelihood and his harsh financial conditions. One high society woman comes to him in the workshop where he works. She admires him and invites him to her villa to complete and install the decoration. Hassan becomes involved in a forbidden relationship with her and abandons his home.

Jerry narrates in voiceover: Tom has fallen hard for the cat next door, and competes with rich cat Butch for her affections. But Butch outspends Tom to a ludicrous level at every turn. Tom goes downhill after that, until we see him contemplating suicide.
