Overview
Jimmie Rainwood was minding his own business when two corrupt police officers (getting an address wrong) burst into his house, expecting to find a major drug dealer. Rainwood is shot, and the officers frame him as a drug dealer. Rainwood is convicted of drug dealing, based on the perjured evidence of a police informant. Thrown into a seedy jail, fighting to prove his innocence is diffucult when he has to deal with the realities of prison life, where everyone claims they were framed.

After 6 years of brutal murders, the West Yorkshire Police fear that they may have already interviewed The Ripper and let him back into the world to continue his reign of terror upon the citizens of Yorkshire. Assistant Chief Constable of the Manchester Police, Peter Hunter, is called in to oversee the West Yorkshire Police's Ripper investigation and see what they could have missed.

When young Clare Kemplay goes missing, Eddie and his colleague, Barry, persuade their editor to let them investigate links with two similar abductions that draw them into a deadly world of secrecy, intimidation, shocking revelations and police brutality.
When a scuffle breaks out between the members of a criminal youth gang, one of them is stabbed to death. Since the knife belongs to the gang member Rocky, the judge assumes that he must have stabbed him too and sentences him to six years in prison. When he is released, he immediately sets off in search of the real culprit.

China Valdes joins the Cuban underground after her brother is killed by the chief of the secret police, Ariete. She meets and falls in love with American expatriate Tony Fenner. Tony develops a plan to tunnel under the city's cemetery to a plot owned by a high official, assassinate him, and blow up the whole Cuban hierarchy at the ensuing state funeral. Together with a band of dedicated revolutionaries, they begin digging.

Agni and Vijay, loyal cops, kill Thimmakka’s son for rape and murder, sparking her revenge. She allies with two dons and manipulates politics to discredit the police. Agni, backed by the honest CM, fights back, killing one don inside the CM’s residence. Thimmakka unleashes Black Tiger, a criminal thought executed, who escaped via corruption. Agni tracks three officials tied to the escape, but Black Tiger kills them, staining Agni’s record. Vijay dies, leaving Agni alone. Black Tiger bombs the city, killing Agni’s mother. Agni chases him to Hong Kong for a final showdown.
