WWE SummerSlam 2014

Battleground (2014) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It took place on July 20, 2014 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. It was the second event under the Battleground chronology, with the event having originated in 2013. Nine matches (including, for the first time ever, two pre-shows) took place at the event.

The 37th annual Showcase of the Immortals is back in business at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida as night one will feature Sasha Banks defending her SmackDown Women's Championship against Bianca Belair, Damian Priest & Latin recording artist Bad Bunny take on The Miz & John Morrison, AJ Styles & Omos face off against The New Day for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships, and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defends his title against Drew McIntyre.

One of WWE's most deadly steel structures is back for another year of destruction as WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defends his title against five other competitors inside the Elimination Chamber. Meanwhile, "The Head of the Table" Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against the winner of a #1 Contender's Elimination Chamber Match on the same night. Also, Bobby Lashley defends his United States Championship against Riddle and John Morrison.

The fallout from WrestleMania 37 is not quite done yet as Cesaro looks to obtain his first WWE world title as he challenges "The Head of the Table" Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, also WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defends his title against Drew McIntyre & Braun Strowman, Rhea Ripley faces off against Asuka & Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women's Championship, and SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair looks to retain her championship against Bayley.

A massacre is sure to happen at the Capitol Wrestling Center on St. Valentine's Day as the finals of the Men's and Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic are underway, Johnny Gargano defends his North American Championship against Kushida, Io Shirai takes on Toni Storm & Mercedes Martinez for the NXT Women's Championship in a Triple Threat Match and Finn Bálor goes one-on-one with Pete Dunne in order to defend his NXT Championship.

SummerSlam is the thirty-second professional wrestling pay-per-view under the SummerSlam banner and is a WWE Network event produced by WWE for their Raw, SmackDown, and 205 Live brands. The event took place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is the second event held in this particular venue (the other time being the 2004 event).

The final stop on the Road to WrestleMania 37 shifts into high gear as Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler take on Bianca Belair & SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks for the Women's Tag Team Championships, Braun Strowman gets his chance at revenge against Shane McMahon, Big E defends his Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews, and "The Head of the Table" Roman Reigns faces off with Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship.

It's time once again for yet another climb towards a golden opportunity for potential, future championship gold for these WWE Superstars as both the Men's & Women's Money in the Bank briefcases are up for grabs (in front of a full live crowd for the first time in over a year no less!). Also, "The Head of the Table" Roman Reigns will be defending his Universal Championship against "The Rated R Superstar" Edge, "The All-Mighty" WWE Champion Bobby Lashley faces off against Kofi Kingston for Lashley's title, and Rhea Ripley defends her Raw Women's Championship against "The Queen" Charlotte Flair.

The biggest party of the Summer is not only back, but for the first time ever, will be taking place in an NFL arena at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Undertaker has set a trap for the decorated tag team The New Day at his mansion. What they don't know: The Undertaker's mansion is an extreme Haunted House, packed to the brim with supernatural challenges.
