Masala (English: Mixture of Spices) is a 2013 Telugu film directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar and jointly produced by Daggubati Suresh Babu and Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. It is a remake of the 2012 Hindi film Bol Bachchan and Venkatesh and Ram Pothineni reprised the roles of Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan respectively. The film released worldwide on November 14, 2013. Upon release, the film received positive reviews from critics albeit the lead actors and the comedians' performances were appreciated.

Appu is a taxi driver in Mumbai (Bombay). He is still haunted by the suicide of his sister who was sold to a brothel. He is still trying to find out the culprit. Here he meets Sita who is chased by Eunuch Maharani who is also responsible for the death of his sister. Maharani is the madame or kingpin of the flesh trade in Mumbai. Maharani wants the beautiful Sita for the flesh trade. Appu fights and saves Sita from Maharani. Here his friend Vignesh and his lover Kaveri die saving Appu and Sita.

An honest police officer takes on the mightiest of the crime world. Hrishikesh (Suresh Gopi) is an honest and duty-bound police officer. Believing the power of truth and righteousness, Hrishikesh takes on corrupt sources within the system and also the mightiest people in the world of crime and underworld. Will he remain truthful even in the times of adversity?

Nasrani takes us to the Kottayam belt, where rich rubber planters and estate owners live. One such rich planter is David John Kottarathil, popularly known as DK. DK spends most of his time at the Cosmo Club, where he is the secretary too. He has his say over all spheres of human activity. He is respected and feared too.
