Hannes is a beer truck driver in Dortmund. His biggest dream is to win the first prize at the International Timetable Contest in Inari (Finland). When his new boss cancels his extra holidays to go there, Hans goes mad… On his journey to Finland by train, followed by the police, he meets lot of folks and the love of his life.

Two young men, Martin and Rudi, both suffering from terminal cancer, get to know each other in a hospital room. They drown their desperation in tequila and decide to take one last trip to the sea. Drunk and still in pajamas they steal the first fancy car they find, a 60's Mercedes convertible. The car happens to belong to a bunch of gangsters, which immediately start to chase it, since it contains more than the pistol Martin finds in the glove box.

A naive Canadian barber who knows US popular culture inside and out meets a flamboyant roadie who needs someone to drive her and her "brother's" corpse from Thunder Bay, Ontario to New Orleans. Chaos ensues after the barber agrees to drive her, the corpse, and the drugs stashed within all the way.

For many years, 17-year-old Paul has been in love with Saskia, the prettiest girl in school, who is two years older than him. Unfortunately, she doesn't feel the same way about him, but Paul doesn't give up. He composes a song for his beloved in order to win her heart—and start a music career. Later, Paul realizes that his song has been stolen and can be heard on a Nirvana album under the name "Smells Like Teen Spirit"! He feels triple betrayed: robbed of his just reward, his record deal, and Saskia's love. So Paul decides to complain to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and follows the band, which is on tour in Germany in 1991, from concert to concert. But when he finally meets the crazy Hamburg woman Tolle, he slowly realizes that there are more important things in life than fame and glory.

Nick is a successful young man whose comfortable West Coast life couldn't be better. However, when his girlfriend falls under the influence of lecherous music producer Lenny Swackhammer, Nick impulsively decides to travel to Toronto to intervene. Nick's buddies Tyler and Dime opt to turn the quest into a cross-country road trip that's complete with wacky antics and encounters with beautiful women.
