Drama

Overview

A dramatisation of a period in Roald Dahl's life during the summer of 1983, as he makes final edits to book "The Witches" before its release, after his 1983 literary review of the picture book "God Cried" about the siege of West Beirut by the Israeli army during the 1982 Lebanon War was deemed anti-Semitic. John Lithgow plays Dahl in Mark Rosenblatt's critically acclaimed stage play, of this Royal Court Theatre production filmed at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London, directed by Nicholas Hytner.
