While exploring the local area Jill discovers a small Chinese box in an antique shop and takes it home to add to her collection. Over the next few days Jill's dreams become troubled, turning into disturbing nightmares that stay with her when she wakes. After being prescribed sleeping pills the nightmares seem to fade and Jill begins to relax. Then the waking dreams return, far more intense than before, blurring Jill's perception of reality.

A group of young friends spending time at a remote cabin are pursued by a demonic force after a burial site is disturbed. Made on a small budget and starring Bruce Campbell and Ellen Sandweiss, the film was produced as a proof of concept to attract investors. Its ideas and sequences later formed the basis for Sam Raimi’s "The Evil Dead" (1981).

An older married couple – Harvey and Janet – on a Saturday morning as Harvey recounts a horrific nightmare in which he learned from a phone call that one of their daughters had been killed. As Janet realizes that many of the details of Harvey’s dream are in fact quite true, the phone rings, and Harvey answers it.
