Overview
The cicada, an insect that I always associate with Japanese summers spent with family, has become a symbol of comfort for me. Its presence evokes a sense of belonging. Its sounds a constant companion as I navigate life in the sweltering summer heat. Much like my own existence, the life cycle of a cicada is marked by uncertainty and obstacles, yet the insect persists, following its intuition. The unpredictability of printmaking mirrors these experiences, ultimately portraying the inexhaustibility and beauty of life.

Junior is a preteen worm who struggles to be accepted by his peers, only to get bullied for being spoiled by his overprotective mother. Back at the castle, Bob's father is a bit of a royal pain, locking himself and Bob in the dungeon and then finding himself mysteriously trapped in a maze! Finally, a medieval pageant celebrates the grand opening of the castle and a great father-son relationship.
The setting is on a floating platform where a group of evenly and carefully placed men live. Each man is aware that the platform is not stable and in order not to fall to their deaths, they maintain a careful balance of weight to prevent the platform from tipping too far and cause them all to fall.
