Overview
When a series of bombs explode in train stations throughout Mumbai, a disparate group of locals are affected in different ways. Thomas, who sells tea, meets Rupali, a reporter coping with the death of her fiancé. Meanwhile, Suresh, who is struggling with financial woes, begins to be overly suspect of all Muslims. For Sunil, a policeman working on the case, there is frustration at realizing his corrupt boss is still on the take.

Vijay Choudhury lives a comfortable lifestyle with his wife, Laxmi, and step-brother, Ravi. Although Vijay and Laxmi have been married for several years, they have no children, and as a result Laxmi is shunned and humiliated in the entire town of Madhopur, despite of the fact the Vijay is the Chair of the Village Panchayat. After Ravi completes his M.A., he falls in love with the only daughter, Lalita, of Milawatram and Bandharlekha. Living by the railway tracks, a homeless man makes his living by selling novelty items at the busy traffic signals on the streets of Mumbai. The high point of his existence is passing a restaurant that serves the food he dreams of. One day he gets an opportunity to fulfil his life's big desire.
