Tonina has always taken care of her family, however she never felt like they really reciprocated her with an equal amount of help and love. Believing that it's her given right, she decides to aquire the ownership rights to a small family holiday home on the island of Hvar. However, after the rest of her kin realize what she had done, tensions begin to brew and a small family gathering turns into a turf war.

100 years since the beginning of First World War. Locality - French cemetery in Bitola. State protocol. Shot in Turkey following the years of military regime, Av Zamani carries autobiographical elements as the director Erden Kiral also had to flee the repressive regime of his country to be an exile in Germany. The weakness of the film is that the director is not able to take enough distance from the events to give the story a more universal appeal. Av Zamani was screened at the Montreal World Film Festival 1988.

Melanie Parker, an architect and mother of Sammy, and Jack Taylor, a newspaper columnist and father of Maggie, are both divorced. They meet one morning when overwhelmed Jack is left unexpectedly with Maggie and forgets that Melanie was to take her to school. As a result, both children miss their school field trip and are stuck with the parents. The two adults project their negative stereotypes of ex-spouses on each other, but end up needing to rely on each other to watch the children as each must save his job. Humor is added by Sammy's propensity for lodging objects in his nose and Maggie's tendency to wander.
