The story of a music band from the sixties who wants to succeed in music in the style of Richard Lester films. There are two parallel plots: one is the love story between the singer Juan Erasmo 'Mochi' and Elena, a middle-class girl who has studied in Madrid and moved to Paris to work and to learn French. The other half of the film corresponds to 'Micky y Los Tonys', and especially to the wild Micky.

The film is an adaptation of the 1891 operetta Der Vogelhändler by composer Carl Zeller, with libretto by Moritz West and Ludwig Held, though it incorporates few of the original songs, using them mostly instrumentally or in the background. The plot follows Adam, a Tyrolean bird seller in 18th-century Rhineland, who hopes to marry his beloved Christl, a postmaster's daughter; to secure his future, she arranges for him to perform at court, but complications arise when she is mistakenly suspected of an affair with a philandering prince.

Ivan Tsarevich dreams of marrying Marya the Weaver. But the Tsar has decided to marry his son to an overseas princess. Three heroes help Marya the Weaver in her fight for Ivan Tsarevich's love. They must complete the Tsar's task and bring him the feather of the Firebird. And the overseas princess turns to Baba Yaga for help.

Montéquio Cebolinha and Julieta Monicapuleto find themselves in a passionate love affair, but unfortunately, their families vehemently oppose their relationship. Amagali and Friar Lourenço Cascão, ever the allies, come to the aid of the young couple, determined to support them through the challenges. However, just when they thought things couldn't get more complicated, Prince Xaveco of Verona unexpectedly enters the picture, adding another layer of complexity to the already tangled situation.

Harry Williams, member of the rhythm & blues band, Bloodstone, is about to go onstage for a concert when he is hit on the head. The rest that follows is his dream. The four band members become conductors on a train filled with characters and (impersonated) actors from the 1930s, such as W.C. Fields, Dracula, and Scarlett O'Hara. Various songs are featured. The singing conductors are obliged to solve a mystery; Marlon Brando is murdering Nelson Eddy, Jeanette McDonald and others by suffocating them in his armpits. A wacky funeral, a fight with a gorilla, and the threat of being turned into a wax museum figure are all part of Harry's dream.
