Jango, poor but dreaming of a movie director, carries on his life doing delivery work with his one and only sister, Jandi, who wants to be a movie star. Jango who saves money in order to make a movie without spending a penny gives up all his wealth to Jandi who has a chance to join a famous entertainment agency. However, the money he has to send to her increases day after day and his bank account goes into the red. Jango ends up being a slave with a huge debt and taken somewhere. And in front of him appears Dr. Salt, a merciless bounty hunter, and Jango is awakened with the help of him. That's how the adventure of furious Jango in the red begins.

Else Riedel (Lissy Arna), locked out by her authoritarian father, seeks refuge with her boyfriend Hans. Complications threaten when Hans's roommate Max falls in love with her, but the situation is resolved: the three remain friends, and decide to form a music hall act. They want to ascend, but how? A way out beckons when a theatrical agent named Nevin enters Else’s life. He is played by Hubert von Meyerinck as a slick and oily villain, who oozes refinement; his experience behind bars is waved away with a silk scarf. He is cunning to the point of perfidiousness, but is not completely unsympathetic. He also embodies a new type - the scrounger.
Dorothy is an elderly woman who struggles with loneliness and is suffering the loss of her late partner. Strange and inexplainable happenings begin to follow her around the house, causing her unease. That is until she uncovers the cause and resists her family’s contempt, unveiling a curious and heartwarming relationship.

After being dismissed for imitating his boss's voice on radio, former Assistant District Attorney Richard Deming witnesses a store robbery and is taken captive by the criminals. Suspected of the crime, he is sought by the police, but his sweetheart, Marie, convinced of his innocence, enlists the help of two friends, a newspaper reporter and a half-witted detective. Hoping to win the girl's favor, the two go to the gangsters' hideout, encounter a violent gang war, and accidently set off a case of police tear bombs. The police, summoned by Marie, arrive just in time to save the kidnaped attorney.
