Overview
The young rich kid, Chyna, got carried away with his glamorous lifestyle and decided that he could do anything he wanted. Desperate to set his son straight, his oligarch father takes extreme measures. Together with an eccentric psychologist, he devises a unique project: somewhere in the steppe, they recreate the atmosphere of a 19th-century Kazakh village. Chyna ends up in this village, believing he has traveled back in time.

When Hanky Pranky (alias Schucks), star of a candid camera TV show, loses his job to affirmative action, he applies for a job at a stress academy. It´s not long before Schucks discovers his new boss, Jack Paddaman, is as crooked as they come, but it´s too late: the employment contract is signed and sealed.A year passes, and Schucks is no better off. However, his candid camera videos, which poke fun at all sectors of post-1994 South Africa, prove a big hit with stressed-out government ministers. When the president asks Paddaman to make a movie to benefit street children, Schucks and his pals do all the hard work while Paddaman plans how he can get hold of the profits from the video sales. In the present, artist Tom Warshaw recalls his traumatic coming of age. As a 13-year-old growing up in New York City in 1973, Tom hangs out with Pappass, a mentally disabled man. With Tom's mother battling depression after the death of her husband, the young boy is left to his own devices. When Tom develops a crush on schoolmate Melissa, Pappass feels abandoned and begins behaving erratically.

In-young, a high school student who is alone due to her parents' sudden death, is forced out because of her overdue rent and stays hidden in the Korean Dance Art Troupe where she belongs. In-young, who is still living bravely and brightly despite the sad situation, is caught by the director of the art troupe who is known for being rough, and the director who could not put In-young in the art troupe eventually begins to live with her.
