Overview
In a working-class neighborhood in Rome, a barber bothers his customers and neighbors with conspiracy theories he reads online. At home and in his small community nobody takes him seriously, especially when he convinces himself that streetlights send secret signals via Morse code. Yet, when the police arrive at his door and arrest him in front of his family, his credibility takes an unexpected twist.

The movie's plot is based on the true story of a group of young computer hackers from Hannover, Germany. In the late 1980s the orphaned Karl Koch invests his heritage in a flat and a home computer. At first he dials up to bulletin boards to discuss conspiracy theories inspired by his favorite novel, R.A. Wilson's "Illuminatus", but soon he and his friend David start breaking into government and military computers. Pepe, one of Karl's rather criminal acquaintances senses that there is money in computer cracking - he travels to east Berlin and tries to contact the KGB.

Meet Marissa Rawlings, a reasoned alternative voice or an extremist in moderate’s clothes? She’s taking on Stephen Yardley, a face of the established UK news media. Both apparently seek to deliver the truth. Both claim to represent objective facts and balanced views. But do they really? Nowadays delivery and charisma can be more persuasive than words themselves so we’d better be ready with our own filters.
