Overview
Reesa is a young woman who was raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina by her grandmother, Myra, after her mother's death. Now an adult, Reesa is married to a loving partner, Khari, and is pregnant with her first child. The Gullah Geechee Urban legend of a boo hag plagues this pregnancy. This creature feeds on the stress and grief of families and at a time like this in Reesa's life, it has latched on tight.

Violette lives in an apartment with her boyfriend. A tension has long driven them apart, the dialogue seems worn-out. While she is in the bathroom brushing her teeth, Violette is called out by a strange silhouette which looks right at her through the drain (of the sink): a living finger, which has taken up residence in the pipes.
