Often a reminder that our lives are moving at rapid speed, and while you may have aged a year older over night, you realize that not a whole lot else has changed. That is certainly the case with Jeff, a greeting card creative who has the 'birthday blues' and struggles to find someone to share his birthday with.

As a result of mysterious circumstances, seventeen-year-old Olga from 2005 finds herself in 2024 in the body of herself, but already a thirty-six-year-old single mother. Having no experience of adult life, Olga behaves like a frivolous girl from the noughties, and dreams of returning to a carefree youth. But by the will of fate, she is forced to take responsibility for her high school son and play the role of a school principal, which she is completely unprepared for.

Washington, D.C. psychologist Carol Bennell and her colleague Dr. Ben Driscoll are the only two people on Earth who are aware of an epidemic running rampant through the city. They discover an alien virus aboard a crashed space shuttle that transforms anyone who comes into contact with it into unfeeling drones while they sleep. Carol realizes her son holds the key to stopping the spread of the plague and she races to find him before it is too late.

A manipulative mama deftly manages the life of her homosexual son so that he can have his cake and eat it too. A woman of means, she does this by allowing her son, a doctor, to tryst in her home with his lover. Putting her son's happiness above all else, she then arranges a marriage of convenience to a woman.

On Ironbound Island, native Fiona McKay arrives from Europe with her teenage daughter Clair, hoping that the peace of the island will help the girl get over the death of her boyfriend. The girl finds comfort in the company of a visiting American girl and more so in the stories of Celia, a crazy old local who weaves enchanting tales which cleverly combine her own experiences on the island with mystifying legends.
