Defense attorney Martin Vail takes on jobs for money and prestige rather than any sense of the greater good. In the Brazilian thriller Níobe, Rita (Barbara França) and a group of six other luxury call girls are hired by an important businessman to entertain the guests of an important business meeting for one night. The purpose of the meeting - which includes the presence of a president of the republic and its main general - is to bribe an opposition deputy to obtain approval for mineral exploration in indigenous territory. However, the plan does not go as expected and, after all, the future of the country may be in the hands of the seven call girls.
