Overview
In 1575, the young soldier Miguel de Cervantes is captured on the high seas by Barbary pirates and taken to Algiers as a hostage. Aware that a cruel death awaits him if his family does not pay his ransom soon, he finds refuge in his passion for storytelling.

Brujeria is the Spanish word for witchcraft. Both men and women can be witches, brujos and brujas, respectively. A brujo controls much of the dance and chaos surrounding this troupe. When a young stagehand enters the would of this secluded dance retreat, it upsets the balance of the retreat's lead dancer a couple comprised of a lesbian and a bisexual woman. When the bisexual woman finds herself attracted to the stagehand, their relationship is tested, and the ensuing chaos feeds the brujeria.

In the upscale Toronto strip club Exotica, dancer Christina is visited nightly by the obsessive Francis, a depressed tax auditor. Her ex-boyfriend, the club's MC, Eric, still jealously pines for her even as he introduces her onstage, but Eric is having his own relationship problems with the club's female owner. Thomas, a mysterious pet-shop owner, is about to become unexpectedly involved in their lives.

A view of the end-of-the-century Mexican family. A father who comes back home after a long absence, but who would rather be somewhere else. A daughter suffering from a trapped pain. A son full of guilt and recriminations. A little kid who soaks up all the tension in the house, like a sponge, and a self-effacing mother who would like to go away and leave everything behind.

After the sudden death of her mother, 13-year-old Yara struggles to find her place in a world that no longer feels familiar. Hoping for comfort, she returns with her father to the campsite where their family once spent every summer. But things have changed — their beloved caravan has been sold, and her father seems unwilling to face the grief they share. One night, Yara hears mysterious music coming from the direction of her old caravan. Together with her best friend Deon, she sets out to uncover its source. What begins as a haunting mystery slowly transforms into a tender journey of memory, love, and acceptance.

A first feature based on sexual events. An actress undertakes her desire of directing her first movie, without a budget or any production company funding her project. She gathers a group of professional actors and actresses, and proposes a project based on a very particular experience: stepping on their fears through a metaphorical 'leap of faith'. As the project advances, individual conflicts will arise affecting the shoot, making the movie crew wonder whether or not they should go on. Will they take the leap of faith with all its consequences?
