Young urban couple Ed and Sarah are set to begin a new life when they move from London into an isolated borders Scottish farmhouse. After falling in love with the 19th century Castle Farm and seeing its potential as a fixer-upper they are anxious to get started on the renovations. In bed on their first night Sarah thinks she can hear noises in the darkness but Ed is disbelieving saying it’s her imagination playing tricks. Persisting in her fear they are not alone in the house, she forces Ed to investigate. When he doesn’t return after a scarily long period, she goes downstairs to investigate only to be confronted by a welcoming committee of masked intruders. As she desperately searches for Ed, a terrifying game of cat and mouse ensues with the mysterious assailants. But what do they want and what horrors do they have planned for the two newcomers?

When secretive new neighbors move in next door, suburbanite Ray Peterson and his friends let their paranoia get the best of them as they start to suspect the newcomers of evildoings and commence an investigation. But it's hardly how Ray, who much prefers drinking beer, reading his newspaper and watching a ball game on the tube expected to spend his vacation.

Jorge is a taxi driver from Córdoba clinging to rhetoric of order, meritocracy, and anger. His only friend is López, his dead rabbit—confidant and spiritual compass. At night, Jorge and López cross paths with passengers who embody various social stereotypes, distorted mirrors of a society on edge. Amid absurd conversations and increasingly extreme situations, his routine shatters when the young man who humiliated him hours earlier gets into the cab. Caught between anger, delirium, and a yearning for vindication, Jorge must decide whether to act to reclaim his wounded dignity or accept becoming the object of ridicule he feels the world has imposed on him.
