Overview
A crazy scientist, Doctor Rex Vector, and his hamster assistant, Mister Pete, return to Pine Tree Mountain with Vector's new, evil invention: a robo-monster with animal abilities! Bear pals Vick, Briar and Bramble, along with other animal friends, must stand up against this "monster plan" of Vector's. It's a spooky fight between loving animals and scary villains, in Boonie Bears Monster Plan!

Junior is a participant in a nightclub dancing contest and is declared the winner. His prize is a pet monkey whom Junior names, "Bunkey", and takes home with him. Unfortunately, he isn't quite sure what his parents will think of their new "guest" and is determined to keep the simean hidden from them. Unfortunately, the ape makes all kinds of noise which cause Charlie and Bessie to think a prowler is loose in the house. After disguising the chimp as a baby, Charlie discovers the ape and exclaims, "Either that monkey goes or I go." The family waves good-bye to Charlie who leaves the house, suitcase packed!
Papa Bear wants to spend his paycheck on something foolish, but the Cubs think he should purchase some interest-paying defense bonds. Disregarding their advice, he buys a mechanical robot to do all the housework. But robots have a high-maintenance cost, and this one has an attitude as it multiplies itself when Papa Bear tries to destroy it.

The special, a follow-up to the previous installment The Land Without Feelings (from 1983), sees the return of the ten original Bears and the rarely-seen Cloud Keeper, as well as the villain Professor Coldheart. In addition, the special introduces Baby Hugs, Baby Tugs, Grams Bear, and Professor Coldheart's sidekick, Frostbite.
A nostalgic Charlie is searching through his college trunk when he comes across an old photo of his football team which catches Junior's interest. Charlie passes himself off as the team's star but Bessie insists he was only good at being their "water boy". Charlie, determined to prove Bessie wrong, attempts to show Junior a thing or two about the game. But Bessie was right; Charlie isn't the most experienced athlete. He dresses as a tackling dummy which leads to disaster. He also gets the football caught in his mouth several times. Finally, he attempts to kick a field goal but the football has been set up a little too close to a water spigot and Charlie kicks the latter instead!
The Terry-Bears hear howling and waken their father, who is also frightened. A big dog comes in, and the cubs want to keep it but Papa Bear kicks it outside. The kids get the dog back inside and Papa decides to get rid of it and takes it away in his car. A traffic-cop is knocked down and gives chase. Later, the Terry-Bears are happy when the dog returns on his own, wearing a policeman's cap, while Papa Bear is in court giving an explanation to a judge.
