As America's stock of athletic young men is depleted during World War II, a professional all-female baseball league springs up in the Midwest, funded by publicity-hungry candy maker Walter Harvey. Competitive sisters Dottie Hinson and Kit Keller spar with each other, scout Ernie Capadino and grumpy has-been coach Jimmy Dugan on their way to fame.

Berlin 36 is a 2009 German film telling the fate of Jewish athlete Gretel Bergmann in the 1936 Summer Olympics. She was replaced by the Nazi regime by an athlete later discovered to be a man. The film is based on a true story and was released in Germany on September 10, 2009. Reporters at Der Spiegel challenged the historical basis for many of the events in the film, pointing to arrest records and medical examinations indicating German authorities did not learn Dora Ratjen was male until 1938.

Two young men and a girl, going through all the dilemmas of their generation, live together and try to build different world, to find their place in society. The manner of their life, understanding of truth and justice, love and passion, gets each of them in conflict with environment, with people who want to change their relationship and fit them into accepted moral norms. They are giving in slowly, and their whole world changes. Some of them will fit the dull everyday's life, and some will find strength to resist.

Karen wants more action out of life and quits her job at the cannery to become a skater in the roller derby. She encounters friction from the other skaters - especially Mickey, the current number one star of the team. Karen proves herself a feisty competitor but refuses to be a team player. As she skates her way to roller stardom, she incurs the wrath of jealous team members and the owner of the team.

The world of female bodybuilding provides the backdrop for this tale of an aspiring young actress who initially becomes interested in the sport as a means of self-defense following a physical attack by two men, but then finds that while concentrating on building up her body her relationship with her parents, with whom she is living, and her new-found boyfriend, a young cop, is breaking down. Several noted bodybuilders and iron-pumpers, male and female, put in appearances to give this production an added authenticity.

A couple's adulterous affair leads to an unexpected pregnancy. They leave their spouses to begin a new life together, but their daughter Katelyn is born with a birth defect: only one fully developed arm. Although her dad believes Katelyn's condition is God’s punishment for the affair, Katelyn defies all odds with an incredible gift for softball.

In this adrenaline-fueled story, the world of women's mixed martial arts is rocked by an explosive showdown between reigning champion Cassady Jones and rising star Alexa Star. The clash of these two titans sends shockwaves through the EFC, as the future of the sport hangs in the balance.
