The film version of the stage production was shot during the play’s 2022 run at the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo.

Based on Shakespeare’s play, Timon of Athens tells the tale of conspicuous consumption, debt and ruin. Timon of Athens is a wealthy friend to the rich and powerful.
