L'Idiot follows Rajat "Rinku" Chaddha, an awkward, daydreaming young man obsessed with French culture, as he attempts to win over Mona, a charismatic girl in his French class. With the help of a local thief, Rinku devises a plan to become Mona's hero, but things take an unexpected turn, forcing him to confront his fantasies and reality.

A murder takes place in a suburban high school. A mentally defective detective Delgado Rodriguez and his partner, the German ex-soldier-veteran Stilenacht, begin a wide-ranging investigation. The comically hapless duo go undercover, roaming the halls among the students, looking for clues. They have no idea what they're getting themselves into. Nothing is certain in this case. The film is full of pop-culture references and allusions, relentlessly peppered with corny puns that sometimes become an integral part of the plot and story. The film takes a similar approach to the mixing of genres; the crime film premise crosses into the realms of fantasy and horror in the course of a plot that is often self-contradictory.

Ellie is determined to save Hotel Silver, the struggling hotel she inherited from her father. On a storm-ravaged night, the hotel unexpectedly fills with a group of mysterious guests, each with their own shadowy past. As the night unfolds, Ellie becomes entangled in a web of secrets, lies, and sinister motives.

The family home is more than merely a building. It can be a destination of pilgrimage, an inherited investment, a repository of memory or even magic. And, for brother and sister Stephen and Billie, home is all they have. Mucking along in their decaying farmhouse, they're doing just fine. That is, until the arrival of an ex-clergyman uncle with an unscrupulous plan, a sister-in-law seeking a miracle, and a prodigal brother hell-bent on trouble.
