LATE NIGHT (2018) is a contemporary neo-noir short film depicting a single night and morning in the life of a first-time contract killer. With virtually no dialogue, it aims to visually illustrate and probe themes of conscience, greed, guilt, and the interplay between fate and circumstance.

The film takes place in Karabakh, where Baku students come to help build a settlement for refugees. Among them are two young lovers, Tural and Gunel. One night, they witness a failed sabotage attempt by Armenian militants, which Tural manages to record on his video camera. The footage shows explosions, armed extremists, and an unmarked helicopter, becoming key evidence. Realizing this, the enemies decide to eliminate the unwanted witness.

Max Rockatansky returns as the heroic loner who drives the dusty roads of a postapocalyptic Australian Outback in an unending search for gasoline. Arrayed against him and the other scraggly defendants of a fuel-depot encampment are the bizarre warriors commanded by the charismatic Lord Humungus, a violent leader whose scruples are as barren as the surrounding landscape.

Jeric Raval is Dias Del Fuego. An anti-organized crime cop who does the beat with a dark side of the law demeanor. The kind that loves to fight fire with fire and that which keeps the violent underworld under check. After being meted an indefinite suspension by their cop chief together with bungling rookie, Flavio (Dinky Doo, Jr.) after a botched hostage rescue, the two stage extra-legal means to pursue the town's top dollar racketing kingpins played by Kier Legaspi and Patrick Dela Rosa. Things get complicated as the underworld puts up heavy resistance. The wrench gets thrown in on Jeric's mean crimefighting machine when his ex-lover (Via Veloso) connives with the mob. As the going gets tougher, Dias Del Fuego gets down dirty and begins to reserve a special place in hell for the opposition.

Struggling to remain afloat in the under currents of Aberdeen's crime world, Jack Carter must face junkies, bruisers and his less than forgiving employer Rusty to guarantee a safe and viable future for his daughter. Written & Directed by Kieron Williamson, shot in the heart of Aberdeen, Scotland.
